We're starting to plan our next big vacation -- Peru! I've always wanted to see Machu Picchu so being in this timezone affords us the perfect opportunity to hit some of the South American countries...Peru being the first.
But, how to decide where in Peru to go? There's so much to see and do! I asked for advice in my travel group a while back and received about 20 recommendations! With limited time and money...figuring out the spots we want to visit is going to take a while. Ben and I are currently pouring over blogs and official websites to find the most cost effective and exciting itinerary.
Stay tuned...

Close...
Less than 3 years to our "planned" retirement. That's coming up quick considering the lifestyle we want after retirement. The so-called, nomadic lifestyle.
We've minimalized significantly these past few years, but now it's time to let go of even more stuff...
Earlier this year we downsized our books to about a total of 30...from hundreds. The problem is, we kept most of the kids' books...so now we've got to start with those. Poor kiddos...they're such little troopers when it comes to us diving into their belongings and getting rid of stuff, but I know it pains them.
We also got rid of a lot of our kitchen gear, and I personally think that we did a magnificent job! But, now we're going to let go of things that hurt my heart...to include my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I LOVE it...I've made cookies, butter, whip cream, cake mix, etc., with it. I once had such high hopes for it, yet in reality, it just became another heavy kitchen appliance that got in the way. I've been holding on to it -- I've been meaning to make my own homemade bread. Now that I've come to terms with the very simple fact that I can do that without a fancy gadget, I will no longer feel guilty every time I look at it. The space will make room for our new lifestyle.
We've decided to revisit the dreaded garage. To be honest, over the past two years, we really de-cluttered our storage room garage! It's just...well...we just had so much junk! Ben will be taking a look at his tools...what can go, what can stay. And, finally, the Archie Comic collection I've had since I was seven has finally served its usefulness and I'm happily willing to pass it onto another 7-year old.
We'll see how we do this month...then, onto February!
